Today I went to my cousin's daughter's 6th birthday party. She was wearing a ballet tutu and was walking around with a bat at one point when it was time for the pinata. I liked the look of it so I sketched a version of it.

Abandoned

I wanted to make a background painting that would fit in a 2D animated feature. I found myself intrigued with abandoned places ever since exploring Letchworth in Rockland county, New York (an abandoned insane asylum) I wish I had the opportunity to sketch that old, frightening place, so instead I found myself putting together a digital painting of a fictional abandoned carnival.

Concept idea for 'Hudsucker Proxy'. A class assignment for ART216. Just needs some clean up and I might take it to finish later on :)
